A cheeky Rangers fan has gone viral after urging billionaire X owner Elon Musk to purchase the naming right to the club's Ibrox Stadium in Govan.

Tesla CEO Musk has become an infamous figure since buying social media platform Twitter for £44bn and renaming it X. His outspoken views have led to many controversies, the latest a spat with former First Minister of Scotland Humza Yousaf.

One thing the South African-born impresario isn't short of is cash, with a net worth estimated to be in the vicinity of £250bn.

X user @Bairdric1 made a tongue-in-cheek call for Musk to spend some of it by stumping up and rename Rangers' famous home ground 'IbroX' in a branding deal. His tweet has over 1000 likes on the social media platform with many fans showing support for the suggestion.

He wrote: "Right @elonmusk, no more ****ing about time to get your hand in your deep pockets. Renaming our stadium IbroX is the most logical branding deem in marketing history.

"Get it done and **** off Humza at the same time."

Unlike many stadiums in the UK, including those owned by big clubs like Arsenal and Manchester City, Ibrox has never had a naming rights sponsor and Rangers have always resisted the idea in the past.
