OUR top team reacted to Rangers' result in Armenia - as Steven Gerrard's team edged past Alashkert 1-0 on aggregate to make their fourth successive Europa League group stage.
After a relatively bright opening 20 minutes, Rangers proceeded to spurn a number of chances and allowed Alashkert a foothold in the game.
Despite playing the second half with 10 men, the hosts were able to threaten offensively and came close to creating some good chances.
