A SECTION of Norwich fans have bizarrely turned on young Scotland star Billy Gilmour - telling him to "f*** off back to Chelsea".
Footage of the Carrow Road club's supporters directing the chant towards the 20-year-old has emerged on social media.
It comes in the wake of yet another defeat for the Canaries, as Crystal Palace ran out 3-0 winners at Selhurst this afternoon.
Gilmour started alongside fellow Scot Kenny McLean in midfield for Dean Smith's side.
Norwich sit rock bottom of the league, however, it remains tight in the relegation zone with four teams separated by just three points.
Gilmour was signed by Daniel Farke during the summer as Chelsea opted to allow the Scotland internationalist out on loan.
He struggled for game time under the German though, as Farke even went as far as saying that it wasn't his responsibility to develop Chelsea's youngster.
Since Smith's arrival after Farke's sacking though, Gilmour has been a reliable starter.
However, despite his fairly consistent performances in difficult circumstances with his struggling team-mates, tonight, a video has emerged of Norwich fans turning on the former Rangers kid.
@TalkNorwichCity have shared the clip on their Twitter account.
And supporters of Chelsea have told the Canaries' fans where to go.
One said: "Very classy from Norwich fans abusing a 20 year old while he’s the only bright player in your whole team."
Another added: "We'll gladly take him back. F*** off back to the Championship."
It remains to be seen whether Chelsea will recall their academy product from his Premier League loan next month.
The Ardrossan-lad has cemented himself as a Scotland hero in the last six-months alone since his leading role versus England at Euro 2020.
Frank Lampard brought the youngster through at Stamford Bridge, and national team boss Steve Clarke is clearly a big fan of Gilmour too.
