Jon McLaughlin: Had nothing to do throughout aside from show composure with his feet. All of his passes found their target whenever Killie pressed up the park, apart from a late hiccup. Also punched away a couple of corners. 6
James Tavernier: His final ball lacked quality in the opening 45 minutes, although like Yilmaz on the opposite flank, Tavernier struggled with the lack of quality movement ahead of him. Grew into the game and aside from one cross, performed well one-v-one. 6
Connor Goldson: Won his defensive duels and kept Sands right up against the threat of Lafferty, also went close to the opener when he hit the side netting after Tillman cut the ball back. Cost a chance after holding onto the ball for too long with 10 minutes to go but recovered the situation. 6
James Sands: Keeping his position at left centre-back, Sands was dealt the task of Lafferty’s physicality. Struggled in some aerial duels during the first half but contested second balls well. Showed some nice touches going forward, notably clipping a ball into Tillman’s path over the defence. 6
Ridvan Yilmaz: Making his Rangers debut, the Turkish international pushed high while Lawrence tucked inside on the left. Made a couple of poor touches in the opening 20 minutes but suffered from the lack of movement ahead of him. Grew into the game, not deterred by the physical challenges thrown his way. 6
John Lundstram: Largely uninvolved before the break, aside from helping Rangers build beyond initial Kilmarnock pressure. Moved slightly higher at points but like Davis, his main involvement was to facilitate and build attacks rather than spearhead them. Did his defensive work well. 6
Steven Davis: Returning to the side, 37-year-old Davis helped to retain pressure and build play. Tidy on the ball and responsible for a few meaningful passes that cut through the defence and started the move for Morelos' second. A regular 7/10 for the dependable midfielder. 7
Scott Wright: Tested the keeper with a shot after 20 minutes and had some impact coming inside the pitch. When pinned to the touchline his lack of consistent quality in delivery was apparent. Also passed up the chance of a three-vs-two around the half-hour mark. 6
Malik Tillman: Looked a step above his teammates during the first half, playing some clever passes at a pace required to break down the visitors. Was able to manipulate space and take in the ball better than anyone and was undoubtedly his side's best player on the day. 8
Tom Lawrence: Drifted infield from the left, having played centrally and from the right last weekend. Hit the crossbar with a volley that threatened to lob the keeper but made his real impact after the interval, when a clever ball into the feet of Colak allowed the striker to net his first goal at the club. 7
Antonio Colak: Has been criticized for his lack of involvement outside the box and although slightly more involved today the Croatian looked devoid of confidence before the break. However, when presented with a rare opportunity just after half time he found the corner brilliantly inside the box to break the deadlock. 7
Substitutes
Alfredo Morelos: Was warmly welcomed back by the Ibrox crowd after a lengthy spell out and went close soon after returning, flashing a shot across the face of goal. Had another chance taken off his toes following excellent link-up play by Tillman. Was in the right place at the right time to return with a goal late on. 7
Rabbi Matondo: Offered a better threat from the right after coming off the bench, chased the ball aggressively and created the second, all-important goal. 7
Borna Barisic: Came on in place of the debutant Yilmaz. Lost the ball cheaply on one occasion. 5
Scott Arfield: Helped to see out the game. 5
