Jon McLaughlin: Had nothing to do before the break as Rangers controlled the game without creating much of note. As his team went down to nine, the 34-year-old was called into action to retain the lead. 7
James Tavernier: A lax pass from the captain almost allowed Boyle a free run at goal. He didn’t link brilliantly with Matondo in the first half but when the pressure was on from the spot just before the interval, Tavernier made no mistake. However, he was caught out badly by a slide-rule pass after half-time as Hibs equalised. 7
Connor Goldson: Picked up a yellow card after mistiming his tackle on Boyle but played with experience for the game’s remainder to help Rangers see out the remainder despite significant hurdles. Defended his box superbly as Rangers went down to nine. 7
James Sands: Started well in the air, timing his jumps to get first contact. Made one slack pass that Goldson recovered but that aside was safe on the ball. Also dominated on the ground, showcasing the ‘very clever’ defending his manager highlighted in midweek. Both he and Barisic should’ve done better for Boyle’s goal but overall, the American defended his box brilliantly. 8

Borna Barisic: At times the Croatian was too safe in possession, often checking back inside or playing backwards when there was an opportunity to break the lines. However, he provided a real moment of quality on the overlap to assist Lawrence. It was a quintessential Barisic cross. 7
John Lundstram: In the first half anything Rangers did well came through the midfielder. He was constantly cajoling and trying to speed up the play, moving the ball forward whenever possible and constantly providing a passing option. Was sent off unfairly for a cynical foul that was made after Kent lose possession cheaply. 6
Ryan Jack: Was robbed of possession early on as he failed to spot an opponent. Made some well-timed rotations to form the right-sided triangle and helped play through pressure, particularly as Hibs squeezed the game after the break. 6
Rabbi Matondo: Got to the line within the opening minutes well to cut the ball back but on too many occasions, the winger simply wasn’t found quickly enough when space was ahead of him. Equally, when he was found, Matondo didn’t threaten nearly enough in the final third. 5
Tom Lawrence: Made a couple of wrong decisions in the final third before getting his side’s second goal of the day. Failing to shoot and then playing a loose ball to Kent in the box, after failing to capitalise on a three-vs-two. But, his well-timed run before the hour allowed him to capitalise on a superb cross. 7
Ryan Kent: Kent beat two men superbly to enter the penalty box in the first half but rather than shoot, he tried to go by another. That typified much of his afternoon, with the winger also losing the ball cheaply before Lundstram's red. Helped create Lawrence's second. 6
Antonio Colak: Didn’t have one of his better games in a Rangers shirt, with the Croatian’s link-up play lacking the fluency of midweek. Did well to chase every ball and that did lead to the first-half penalty. 5
Substitutes
Alfredo Morelos: Was barely involved before he saw red. 1
Scott Arfield: Grafted in the midfield as his team went down to nine. 5
Steven Davis: Helped earn a point. 5
Leon King: Did well from the bench. 5
