Robby McCrorie: Quick off his line on numerous occasions to thwart dangerous Celtic attacks. Didn’t have too much to do in the first half but he made a stunning one-handed stop to deny Matt O’Riley on 50 minutes. Really impressive first two games back in goals and staking his claim to start next season as No.1. 8
James Tavernier: Tavernier’s positioning in the centre of the box from crosses from the left was noticeable as he provided an aerial threat - otherwise lacking from Sakala and Matondo. Defended really well against Jota and kept the dangerous winger pretty quiet. 8
Connor Goldson: A typically solid performance and his importance to Rangers should never be underestimated. Goldson is a genuine leader and his partnership with Souttar showed promise. 7
John Souttar: Netted his first Rangers with an imperious header and it was a nice moment after an injury-blighted season. Souttar defended really well and his constant communication with Goldson was noticeable and it allowed Rangers to remain organised. Looked comfortable on the left side of the defence. 8
Ridvan Yilmaz: Really bright start and showed a willingness to get forward but spurned some good crossing opportunities. There’s been question marks over Yilmaz’s defensive attributes but he was solid throughout and didn’t give Abada a sniff. His best game in a Rangers shirt. 8
John Lundstram: Excellent pressing prevented Celtic from settling early on and that was integral to Rangers’ bright start. Lundstram has failed to hit the heights of last season but he’s regained some form in recent weeks and he should be part of Beale’s plans next season. 8
Ryan Jack: Thrown straight after returning from injury and his positional discipline allowed Rangers to grab the ascendency during a brilliant start. Wasn’t at his sharpest and was caught in possession as Matt O’Riley robbed him and almost scored. Celtic’s midfield runners pose a significant threat and Jack helped nullify that channel of attack. 7

Nicolas Raskin: Deployed as the deepest lying midfielder, he provided tenacity defensively with genuine quality in possession. Raskin is so comfortable receiving the ball but he also impressed winning it back. The Belgian’s fitness levels are improving after not playing for months before joining Rangers and he will be central to Beale’s rebuild. 8
Todd Cantwell: Comfortably the best player on the pitch - he’s been Rangers' shining light since January. Highlighted his quality with a stunning finish to open the scoring and his pressing led to Rangers’ third goal. Works tirelessly out of possession and performed admirably in his task of marking Callum McGregor. Proving to be a brilliant signing. 9
Fashion Sakala: Predictably unpredictable, Sakala regularly shows promise before fluffing his lines. His pace is a major threat but his end product is inconsistent. However, he showed great composure to round Hart and finish off the game. 7
Rabbi Matondo: Has pace to burn but decision-making remains erratic, he unleashed a shot from range early on when John Lundstram was well positioned for a pass. Matondo looked good in flashes but more is required and Michael Beale must prioritise strengthening his attacking options in the summer. 5
Substitutes
Ianis Hagi: Replaced Matondo with 15 minutes remaining but failed to really make an impact on proceedings. 4
Scott Arfield: Handed a brief cameo in place of Ryan Jack. 4
Zak Lovelace: An Old Firm debut. 4
Glen Kamara: Came on for the final few minutes. 4
Alex Lowry: Helped to see the game out. 4
