Lyndon Dykes and Charlie Cresswell have been linked with moves to Ibrox this summer in recent days.
However, the Rangers Review understands that both players can be ruled out as transfer targets.
Neither player is under consideration from Michael Beale as he looks to rebuild his squad during the summer window.
Scotland international Dykes has been touted as a potential target in the past but his name re-emerged over the weekend.
The 27-year-old played under Beale at Queens Park Rangers and he is attracting interest with only a year left on his contract.
But the former Livingston hitman won’t be joining his former QPR boss at Ibrox with Rangers pursuing other striker targets.

Sam Lammers has already completed his deal from Atalanta while interest in Cyriel Dessers is legitimate.
Dessers was relegated to Serie B with Cremonese last season and a departure is expected in the coming weeks but the Italian side are holding out for a big fee.
Leeds United defender Cresswell's name has been raised as a target but we understand that he's not on Beale's radar.
The England international is highly rated at Leeds and enjoyed an impressive loan spell at Millwall last season.
We also reported yesterday that links to Tasos Douvikas were wide of the mark after he was linked with a move by Greek media.
The Utrecht striker enjoyed a hugely successful season in the Netherlands but a £7 million price tag is unrealistic.
Beale has already been busy with four new players penning deals with Lammers joined by Kieran Dowell, Dujon Sterling and Jack Butland on pre-contract deals.
Rangers are back in pre-season training at the end of the month before jetting off to Germany as they step up their preperations for the 2023/24 campaign.
