Rangers travel to Dens Park tonight to finally play their SPFL Premiership tie with Dundee at the third time of asking.

Philippe Clement's side are looking to bounce back from a 3-2 defeat against Ross County on Sunday in Dingwall. The Belgian manager is still without Mohamed Diomande and Ridvan Yilmaz due to injury.

Here's how the Rangers Review thinks Clement could line up his team for tonight's clash.

During his press conference on Tuesday, Clement explained the most difficult part of his job these past couple of months has been finding a balance in Rangers' starting 11. With players coming back from injury and options already limited, the Belgian has been unable to field 'his strongest side' routinely amongst a demanding schedule.

With that said, there's no more room for failure. Any dropped points at Dens will surely spell the end of a title bid.  Dujon Sterling has to return to the starting 11 on his journey back from injury. Leon Balogun may well have replaced John Souttar if not for a sickness bug.

In midfield, it's a case of if not now, when for Nico Raskin. With Sterling required at left-back and Diomande still out of action Rangers require the Belgian's legs and defensive nous that Tom Lawrence and Kieran Dowell lack. Raskin has been out of the fold for months now but in a position where Rangers need performers tonight's game could offer a route back into the team.

Ross McCausland is a left-field shout given his starts have been limited through injury. However, Rangers badly need balance and wingers will allow that to return. On the other side, Abdallah Sima should return to the position he's been so dangerous in this season.

That leaves Todd Cantwell to play at No.10 and Fabio Silva to replace Cyriel Dessers. While neither are in great form the Portuguese forward merits minutes in his favoured role after Dessers' costly misses in the Highlands.

Predicting a Philippe Clement side has been a notoriously tricky task over the course of the season. This one is no different. In fact, this one is even more difficult than normal. Does he stick or twist?

The absences of Ridvan Yilmaz and Mohamed Diomande are far from ideal. Dujon Sterling is likely to start at left-back rather in midfield as a result and that leaves the other spot alongside John Lundstram up for grabs. It could well go to Tom Lawrence but Nicolas Raskin will see the trip to Dens Park as a chance for him to prove himself once again.

At centre-back, the news that Leon Balogun has been ill this week will have frustrated supporters, many of whom are keen to see him start. It would be a big call for Clement to drop Connor Goldson. A return for Balogun would be a positive step but it feels like Clement will stick with Goldson and John Souttar.

At the top end of the pitch, there is plenty of scope for change and room for improvement. On form, Fabio Silva and Cyriel Dessers don’t deserve a start. Abdallah Sima is the only alternative to play through the middle and a supporting cast of Ross McCausland and Rabbi Matondo would give Rangers plenty of pace and threat. Again, it would be no surprise to see Clement keep the faith in those who have started in recent weeks.
