Abdallah Sima’s future remains undecided and any decision is likely to be made after Brighton appoint a new manager.
Sima, who spent last season on loan at Rangers, joined the Premier League club in 2021 from Slavia Prague in a deal worth up to £6million. The forward signed a four-year deal which is due to expire in 2025. However, it is understood the club hold the option of an additional year.

The Rangers Review understands that Brighton are expected to wait until their managerial situation is resolved before making a final decision on the 22-year-old’s future. Sima spent last season on loan at Ibrox, scoring 15 goals by January before an injury-disrupted second half to the campaign.
Sima returned to score during a 3-3 Old Firm draw in April before suffering another injury as Rangers defeated Hearts in the Scottish Cup Semi-Final.
Sources at Rangers have suggested that if Sima were to leave Brighton on a permanent deal this summer the Seagulls would likely be inclined to test the market in order to maximise value.
Sima, who made the Senegal squad for AFCON before picking up an injury while away on international duty in January, spoke about the possibility of returning to Rangers next season after his side's Scottish Cup Final defeat to Celtic.
“It’s not up to me,” Sima said. “I always say I feel at home here and I’m happy to be here. I’ve always loved to give everything for this shirt. As I say, this place feels like home and I feel everyone wants to stay in a place that feels like home, so we will see in the next few weeks.
“I think I can be proud of my season and happy with what I’ve contributed. I wanted to do more but of course, I had a bad moment with my injury, which ruled me out for a long time. But I’m always looking forward and I’m not looking back.”
Philippe Clement has spoken previously of a potential Ibrox return for the attacker 'depending' on "Brighton's demands and what we can pay".
Speaking at a press conference in May, he said: "We were really happy with what [Sima] showed. We see him as somebody with the potential to grow, he is very happy in this building. There is a club that is his owner so you need to find an agreement so we will see what is going to happen there. You don’t know what way that will go. It depends on what their demands are and what we can pay. It is always like that."
Brighton are without a manager after Roberto De Zerbi left the club at the end of last season. The Italian had replaced Graeme Potter at the Amex in the autumn of 2022, leading the club to Europa League football in his first season.
The club were heavily linked with Kieran McKenna who has subsequently signed a new long-term contract with newly promoted Premier League outfit Ipswich Town.
