Dujon Sterling will see a specialist after missing Sunday's 1-0 win over St Johnstone through injury, but could still face Kilmarnock on Wednesday night.
The defender started last weekend's draw against Dundee United and the 4-1 win over Nice in midweek. Sterling has jumped ahead of Rangers captain James Tavernier in the pecking order since the last international break with Philippe Clement suggesting yesterday that fewer minutes will help the 33-year-old's performances.
Speaking after the game, Clement revealed that Sterling's injury is not a long-term problem. The full-back has not been ruled out of facing Kilmarnock on Wednesday night with Rangers then travelling north to face Ross County next Sunday.
"Dujon, yeah, that's unlucky because it's not a real injury. It's a blocked nerve," Clement said speaking during his post-match press conference.
"So he has to go to the specialist to unblock it, to get treatment around that. Because of that, he was not available today. We will see if he's available on Wednesday or not. It's not a long-term thing, but those things happen. It's nothing to do with training."
Sterling's appointment will take place before Wednesday night, making an appearance in midweek possible.
Meanwhile, Neraysho Kasanwirjo has been ruled out through injury for four to six months.
The Rangers defender has had surgery for an injury problem and will now complete his rehab with parent club Feyenoord.
Philippe Clement confirmed the injury hammer blow in his post-match press conference after the 1-0 win over St Johnstone.
"The operation for Nana was good, but he will be at least out for four to six months," said Clement. "So we cannot count on him. So we will see at the end of the season how things go.
"We have an agreement with Feyenoord that he will do his rehab also there. But I stay in touch with Nana, who was really disappointed not to continue the work he's been doing because he loves the club, he loves the dressing room, he even loves the staff - that doesn't happen much!
"So we will see at the end of the season how it will be with him, but we cannot count on him the next couple of months."
