Everything the Rangers manager said to Rangers TV after the 1-0 win away to St Johnstone.
How do you reflect on the performance tonight?
We wanted to leave here with the three points, that’s the most important thing. We knew it was going to be hard in the circumstances. We go the early goal with a great move, a great pass and a great run from Glen. We had a couple of chances to score even more. Morelos hit the post, Scott had a good chance to score. The second was about surviving this game. They played a lot of long balls and second balls and it was really tough to play our normal game on this pitch. You see the ball was moving not well. In the second half we didn’t give any chances away and we scored an offside goal. I don’t know if it was offside or not but we were close to getting to 2-0. Sometimes you want to see good football but for me the most important thing for us all was the three points.
How pleasing was it not to give any chances away tonight?
We didn’t but you still have to be sharp and we were a lot more so than in the game against Motherwell. Today we did well. It was not a good game. It was not a beautiful game. The circumstances were hard but these games you have to win and we did.

How much credit do the players deserve for getting over the line on this pitch?
It was all about the duels, the fighting. Sometimes you have to have that in your game and we did that today.
How happy were you to see Glen Kamara get his goal?
We have midfielders who can do that. Joe and Glen also. He scored a couple of weeks ago against Hearts with the same movement. And Scotty as well, especially when the spaces aren’t there. You sometimes need runs from midfield and today that gave us the important goal.

It’s a special day with the 150th anniversary against Aberdeen but I guess it’s just another three points to the team?
Yes it is. It’s all about the three points. We know it’s a special game for all of us because it’s an anniversary game so that means we have to win this game.
