Iconic former Rangers player-manager has revealed he is donating the medals from his glory laden spell at Ibrox to the club museum.
Souness took over the club in 1986, sparking a revolution that changed both Rangers and Scottish football forever.
Before leaving for Liverpool in 1991, the former Scotland captain won three championship trophies and four league cups.
He also reached the quarter-finals of the European Cup in 1988 before being knocked out by finalists Steaua Bucharest.
And now Souness has explained why he decided to donate his medals for the club to display in their multi-million-pound museum in the new Edmiston House.
He told Rangers TV: “I’d spoken about it with an old friend of mine years ago.
“I was going to do it then it went quiet.
“If you came to my house you’d never know I played football.
"There’s no display of football strips or any pictures of me or in my management years.
“My medals were in a safe with no one looking at them and I thought, ‘that’s a bit of a waste’ and ’why not’.
"The club has a fantastic musem so why not?”
