Everything Giovanni van Bronckhorst said to Premier Sports after their 3-0 win over Dundee at Dens Park.
What did you make of the 90 minutes?
As you said it’s important is to be in the semi-final at Hampden. We started well and if you start these games well on the right foot with a lot of energy and power you can win the game qutie early. We did that and played really well from the start, scoring an important goal really early. I think we were there, we didn’t have any slip-ups. Mentally we were very focused and from the first minute we had the drive to be in the semi-final.
Energy didn’t seem to be a problem today despite European exertions in midweek?
I said to the players, we need to show our energy and drive to go all the way. It’s been a while since we won the cup and that’s our drive because we park Europe. From the first minute we had to show we had come here to go to the next round and also do anything that it takes. If you come here on 80 percent you’re going to have a very hard game. We have shown everyone from the first mintue we wanted to leave here with a semi-final ticket in our pockets.
Do you allow yourself to think about going all the way?
Of course. You are working and training hard to be successful. That’s our goal but that’s a couple of weeks and my mind is already on Red Star.

Is there any update on Ryan Kent?
Ryan is fine. He had a bruise. It wasn’t anything special. I wanted to take him off just before it happened but he’s okay.
And Ryan Jack?
He’s okay.

Does this help build momentum for Thursday?
We are happy with the result. We have a day to rest well tomorrow. On Tuesday we are going to prepare for Red Star. We played them last week so I have a much better view on the team than before the game. We want to be in the next round so just like always, if you are winning or losing it doesn’t matter, you have to prepare the team well for whatever comes and that’s what we are going to do.
