What do you take from the result and performance tonight?

Of course, we’re only halfway. We always want a good result to take back to the second game, that’s what we wanted but a 1-0 defeat is quite a small margin. We’re only halfway so next week we have a big game, a huge task ahead of us. We will prepare well and I think our performance at times was good, we created some chances. Also, you see the quality they have, it is the quarter-finals so you are going to face an opponent who’s also strong but a one-goal difference to take back, of course, it could’ve been better but it could’ve been also worse. We have a much better view of the team when you play them so we’re going to prepare well for next week.

Were you disappointed with the decision making in the final third?

Yeah, especially in the last phase, we had some opportunities to score goals, especially the first half, I think Fashion had a great chance, in the transition moments we were dangerous but it’s all about the delivery in the end and I think that could’ve been better. Also our set pieces, I think we had two or three set pieces we overhit. Normally you can get big chances in those moments so we have to make sure those aspects are better next week.

How disappointed were you with the goal that you lost?

You’re always disappointed when you get goals against. I think there was a slight deflection I think, Leon couldn’t hit the ball properly away. I haven’t seen the goal back but it happened fast. It’s always disappointing when you get a goal against, that’s normal.

Are you confident you can turn it around?

Yeah, we have to show next week, we know what the task is. It’s the final game out of this tie and I know at home with the crowd behind us as always, we can get a good performance. We lost 2-1 against Red Star away but in the home game we made the difference and we have to do the same now again.

What did you think of Fashion Sakala’s performance?

Hopefully, we push him more on the pitch next week but we knew what kind of game we expected. Of course, in Europe, there are moments when you have to be quite compact and with the speed of Ryan and Fashion, you can always create dangerous moments, especially Kent and Sakala today, I think we should’ve taken one of the chances they had in transition. Next week will be a slightly different game because they have an advantage so will drop deep a little bit more like today I think but we know the qualities Fashion has with his speed and his moments to make his runs. He tried today to be dangerous and he was but he wasn’t successful with his finishing.
