Is this a game Rangers feel they will win?

There is lots of excitement around the club, we’ve put ourselves in an unbelievable position and produced some memorable results throughout this campaign. Now there is just one more step and we have a chance of creating history.

What’s your own fitness like?

Good. I’ve been training, got some minutes in recent games and we have another game prior to heading over. I’m ready to go and looking forward to it.

How does this game compare to the rest of your career?

It’s right up there! To play in a European final, it doesn’t come around often. Unfortunately, I missed the Arsenal one a few years back but hopefully, I can make up for that this year. We got to the final and lost to Chelsea, for me to miss it was tough through injury.

These weeks always have plenty of energy around the training ground, we’re just looking forward to the kick-off. You’re one game away from creating history.

Did this eventuality even cross your mind in January?

I know it’s difficult to reach this stage. You need luck along the way but some of our performances have just been brilliant. I said before, the quality in this squad is there. For us to have done what we’ve done, I’m not surprised. Now it is just about one final push to try and come away with the trophy.

Have the Ibrox nights exceeded your expectation?

I knew about the atmosphere but until you actually experience it, descriptions don’t do it justice. The fans have been superb during my time here and those European nights have been special. You see the stands shaking and bouncing, it’s quite unique. Hopefully, we can all pull together for one more night.

How has the schedule been?

The more successful you are the more games you play. It has been hectic but that’s to be expected, good options to rotate and it will be no different going into the last week.

Do you focus on keeping the young boys grounded during a run like this?

I think the experienced lads help in that but it is a great group, they’re very level headed. Nobody is getting carried away. We’re here for a reason and the squad has been a different class throughout. It will be no different for the final.

When will you decide on your future?

That will be decided at the end of the season, there is no update on that yet but I am just looking forward to my final few weeks here and hopefully making it a memorable experience. At the moment my loan is set to come to an end, there are conversations to be had at the end of the season but right now I’m just focused on trying to win these two competitions with Rangers.

Are Rangers the underdogs for this game?

We’ve adapted our game plan throughout this competition. Now it is about putting everything into one game to walk away with the trophy.

What could next Wednesday do for Scottish football’s reputation?

From my experience, I’ve been surprised by the quality. It is a tough game every week. I’ve been impressed and I don’t see why others wouldn’t see this to be appealing.
