RANGERS boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst has expressed his delight after Connor Goldson committed his future to the club.
The 29-year-old has signed a new four-year deal which will keep him at Ibrox until 2026.
It was widely expected the former Brighton man would depart the Scottish Cup winners at the end of his contract with Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth reportedly keen to acquire his services.
However, news of his commitment to the Europa League finalists will come as welcome news to supporters as well as his manager.

Van Bronckhorst said: “I am delighted Connor has agreed to remain a Rangers player, as he has been fantastic for me both on and off the pitch since I arrived.
“His leadership is outstanding, and he is a huge influence on so many players around him, while his consistency of performance means he is someone I can always rely on.
“I am really looking forward to seeing Connor back for pre-season in a couple of weeks and to working with him again next year.”
