BEN DAVIES has become Rangers' sixth summer signing after joining from Liverpool on a four-year deal.

The 26-year-old was paraded in front of the Ibrox crowd at last night's pre-season friendly with West Ham United and he also spoke to Rangers TV.

Here is what he had to say.

Ben, welcome to Rangers, how do you feel to be at the club?

Thank you, I feel brilliant to be here. It’s been a quick turnaround but I’m delighted to be here and be settled in.

What was it in your conversations with Rangers that made you feel this was the right place for you?

I spoke to the manager and his ideas I feel suit my gameplay. I feel like I can fit in well. Obviously the size of the club, everyone said to me I wouldn’t realise until I got here and I’ve just had a tour of it now and it’s incredible. I’m just about to turn 27 and I want to turn what I think has been a good career into a great career and have the best years in front of me now.

Rangers Review:

You’ve had a number of different experiences in your career already, how much can they help you going forward?

All my career I’ve looked to do different opportunities, whether when I was young or going out on loan. Taking moves when they’ve come about and not just staying in my comfort zone so I think that’s going to help me going forward.

In terms of the environment at Rangers, do you feel it’s a good place to get the best out of you?

I think it’ll be the best place possible. The expectation and the levels of standards that the club’s got are exceptional and I think it can only bring the best out of me.

What have been your first impressions of the stadium?

Incredible. I’ve obviously seen it on TV but it’s the first time I’ve been and it’s like when you first go up the steps when you’re a bit younger and you’re going to your first game. It’s just like a ‘Wow!’ and that is in an empty stadium so I’m looking forward to seeing the fans come in and obviously looking forward to my season.

What can the fans expect from you?

Hopefully consistent. I like to play football and pass the ball, try to be composed and calm and see a pass rather than just clearing it long or giving it back away.

It’s less than two weeks until the start of the season, how important is this time to get to know your teammates?

It’s important and going off how I’ve felt in the first two days since I’ve been here, it’s going to be fairly easy to settle in I think. Everyone has made me feel really welcome so I’m very excited and looking forward.
