Was there a better tempo today?
We had a great result on Wednesday, we were on a high and of course, very positive because we’re going to play in the Champions League. But we had to switch back to the domestic league and it’s all about the start. Keeping the standards you want and the same way of playing every game. When you start games like this you will never drop your level. We reached a really high level today and the goals we scored were of a very high level, with the movement we showed.
You only made one change, was that with an eye on Tuesday?
We have a squad we can rotate but we’re playing a lot of games at the moment and play Queen of the South on Tuesday. We have to keep going and keep playing that’s why I picked the team today. Because they have to get stronger and the team has to develop. On Tuesday you will see more rotation.
What did you make of Lawrence and did he pick up an injury?
He’s ok, it is not serious. Tom is a player who can play well between the lines and find his spaces. He has the ability to scan his surroundings. Tom is a capable player. The same for Malik Tillman, he can see the big picture. The movement of Tom was excellent, throughout the whole game. Even as a striker he found the pockets to become available.
You must be delighted with Colak and how is Morelos?
I'm happy with Antonio, he is in a good moment. The start he had for us has been fantastic, we just need to keep pushing him and he keeps giving the performances we want. Morelos has worked hard this week so I will sit down with him tomorrow and talk about his future. He is still our player and knows what he has to do to become available for matches again. The reaction he has shown in the first week has been very positive.
The subs made a good impact?
We have a big squad I could easily have picked players to start from the bench. That shows the strength we have. After half-time, we put Leon King in. He is a young player but it was a mature performance. We just see that with the changes we make the intensity doesn’t change.
What did you make of Kent’s showing?
If you see his stats last year one of the things we wanted to keep persisting with was goals. For him, he always has a full-back coming at him a lot, but Borna supports him at the right moment. Of course, his first intention is to go inside, When you have a full-back [overlapping] it becomes hard for the defenders. Colak’s second goal, he started the move with a quick turn and pass.
