Everything the manager said to BBC Scotland after today's convincing 4-1 win against Aberdeen.

An excellent performance, is that the benchmark now?

I expect that in every game we play. It’s not always easy to reach this level against certain opponents but today I think we showed from the first minute that we were aggressive and positive.

What was the difference today?

You want to start well in every game, it’s the preparation we have. I think our structure today was really good, that’s why we were able to play quick passes and attack the spaces they leave, especially our wingers. I think we did that really well and I’m really pleased with the overall performance

You must be pleased with the response to going behind?

The crowd was with us the whole game. We started positively and that’s the way you have to start. Even after the goal against us, we still showed the desire to go forward and create chances, in the first half we could have been three of four up. We kept the momentum in the second half and this is the performance we need every game.

It must give you real confidence?

Rangers Review:

It gives you confidence. We have had disappointing results in Europe but only lost our first two points last week [in the league] after a good run and we want to continue that. Today against a good side, we didn’t give them any chance.

How impressed were you with Fashion Sakala?

He was very good. He gave us the threat we needed. It’s all about reaching the standards and doing it consistently. The way we play, if we have our wingers in the game, aggressive and powerful you can see what we can create for them. Today we had 36 shots on goal against Aberdeen, that’s a lot. We need to keep improving that and create chances every game to score.

How are Ridvan Yilmaz and Ben Davies?

Ridvan had to come off because he felt his hamstring and Ben had a moment in the beginning of the game but could play on. I didn’t want to take any risk. We have to assess him tomorrow and see how he feels. I don’t know yet. I think we will have Ridvan out for a couple of weeks but for Ben, I still don’t know.
