Your thoughts on today's game?

We are very happy with the three points. In the first half it was difficult for us to find the goal. But I’m very happy with the performance from the boys. We really tried everything in the second half to get the goal.

Why was it a frustrating first half?

I think it was a little bit too congested. They were defending with nine players in the box. It was very difficult for us to find chances. They opened up a little bit in the second half. Obviously, they wanted to find goals. Then, unfortunately for them, we got them.

Talk us through the goal?

It was very important for the team, that’s what we spoke about at half-time. The only option we had was to get the goal early in the second half. It gave us a lot of confidence to fight until the end.

You must be enjoying this run in the team?

I’m very happy. I hope I continue to work extra hard and get game time. I appreciate the good work from the other players. They are helping me to get the confidence to stay in the team all the time. Obviously the more I play the more I can feel motivated and I’m getting confident. It was very difficult at the beginning of the season. Now, I’m feeling like a football player again and I’m very happy.

How has the manager helped you improve?

He just told me when he came in that I know the task. I know why they signed me. He was on the technical staff under Steven Gerrard when I signed for Rangers. He told me to remember what we spoke about before I joined the club. You know what you can do and I trust you. I want you to get your confidence back. I knew from that moment that this was my time.

How do you look ahead to next week's semi-final?

We are very excited. We are done for today. We now need to think about the next game. It’s always a challenge when you play for Rangers. The most important thing is to win games. We are excited, and looking forward to the game. We are very confident we can win.
