Rangers have made a final, take it or leave it offer for Feyenoord striker Danilo that is likely to succeed.
A fee of £6m meets the criteria set out by the Eredivisie champions when talks began - and after weeks of discussions about taking the player to Ibrox - it now seems likely to be finalised between the clubs on Monday.
Leading Dutch journalist Marcel van der Kraan has stated the striker has been offered a weekly salary of €45k per week. However, sources at the club have poured cold water on that claim and assert a doubling of the forward's wages are wide of the mark.
The Rangers Review understands the player is desperate to move to Scotland. Despite reports the deal could collapse, there has been confidence an agreement could be reached between the clubs with little distance between their valuations in recent days.

Danilo is currently second choice in the pecking order to Mexican sensation Santiago Gimenez - and has little chance of dislodging him.
Feyenoord management will now meet to discuss the offer when everyone is back in the club's training centre.
They are already eyeing up potential replacements in Sydney van Hooijdonk, Ayase Ueda from Cercle Brugge and Dinamo Zagreb's Croatia international Luka Ivanusec.
Michael Beale was coy when asked about the player at yesterday's post-match press-conference following the win over Hamburg at Ibrox.
He said: "There's nothing less or more than where it was yesterday. There were lots of reports about bids being accepted or rejected and it’s somewhere in between. It'll come to fruition, or it won't.
"He's a good player. We're not the only team interested in him. He's not the only target we have either. But that's the name that's getting run with. So, just out of respect for Army Slot and Feyenoord the negotiations should stay quiet.
"You know, they come out from the other side rather than this side, and we'd rather be quiet and where it goes, we'll wait and see."
