Here's everything Tavernier had to say alongside Todd Cantwell after yesterday's cup final speaking to RangersTV.

A big effort today because you put so much into Thursday night?

TC: Yeah, the boys put in a big shift and the games are close together. We knew the schedule was heavy so to get a trophy now gives us a good boost going into the rest of the season.

A word on the captain?

TC: He just does what he does, that's Tav for you... he's right there! All jokes aside this is what Tav does. He's done this before so he knows exactly what he's doing and you can count on him in these moments.

James, a special moment for that goal?

JT: Obviously at half-time I said to Souts [John Souttar] I've seen Ross get to the back post a couple of times and there is a real opportunity to get in there. Second half with Duj in the midfield I could rely on him to sit a bit, I saw Borna hit the byline and it wasn't the greatest of touches but I thought, get on the end of it and it went in the back of the net, so delighted.

Delighted for the fans?

JT: It's long overdue, I think we are building something special and this is the start of a lot of success for this team and the club. We need to go game by game, enjoy today but be fully focused on Wednesday.

Todd your first trophy, what does that mean?

TC: A lot, it's no secret that's why we came. Jack and I have had long conversations about it. What will we be remembered for when we leave? Not our songs but what we win. Games like today can be frustrating against a team that make it so difficult on a boggy pitch. It's all about winning and the manager has been crystal clear that we win these type of games.
