Philippe Clement says there is no change to Ianis Hagi's Rangers situation after the attacking midfielder failed to secure a move away from Ibrox.

While a handful of countries still have their transfer windows open for a number of days the majority of European clubs will now be unable to trade players until January.

Clement previously revealed that Hagi, 25, was not part of his plans moving forward. The Romanian midfielder joined the club from Genk on loan in January 2020 before making his stay permanent that summer. He spent last season on loan at Spanish side Deportivo Alaves in La Liga.

Speaking ahead of Rangers' Champions League qualifier with Dynamo Kyiv earlier in August, Clement stated that the No.10 would be allowed to leave the club this window. Hagi has been playing and training with the B team since returning to the club after playing at Euro 2024.

But after turning down a move to Rapid Bucharest Rangers were unable to secure a transfer for the attacking midfielder rbefore yesterday's deadline.

"No, I cannot say anything now because there are not any developments," Clement said.

Asked if he could be integrated back into the first team the Rangers manager continued: "We spoke about that months ago, really openly with him and his agent also. That we don't see him to become the next No.10 for Rangers for the next couple of years, so to look out for other opportunities so that story stays the same. For sure with Bajrami in the building you have this situation.

"We will see those things in the future [whether any reintegration is possible] I will not say these things now."

Meanwhile, Clement has provided an injury update on his Rangers squad ahead of tomorrow's Old Firm derby.

The Ibrox side make the short journey across Glasgow tomorrow lunchtime to face arch-rivals Celtic in the first meeting between the sides in the Scottish Premiership this season.

And it's good news in terms of squad selection for the Belgian, with the majority of his squad fit and ready to go.

Ridvan Yilmaz remains out, but everyone else is back available, including Oscar Cortes, who is bac in training.

The manager did provide an update on his deadline day signings, saying: "Nedim Bajrami paperwork is not fully completed, so will not be available. Neraysho Kasanwirjo is an option for selection but has had limited time to train."
