Allan McGregor: Had nothing to do until being called into action immediately before County’s goal – making a superb stop from White, he could do little about the follow up shot from Clarke. Made an important stop from Blair Spittal soon after Rangers restored a two-goal lead. 7

James Tavernier: Had one of his best games of last season on this ground and started brightly, retaining a high starting position. His assist for Goldson’s header was one of a few excellent deliveries and his fourth assist of the season. Should have scored in the second half when through one-on-one. 7

Connor Goldson: Could have conceivably had three headed goals in the first half, he's such an ariel threat and timed jumps perfectly. Marshalled the high line well as ever, with County mainly targeting play in brief spells down the visitors left side he wasn’t at fault for many breakthroughs. Still to regain the solidity of last season fully. 7

Leon Balogun: Starting for the first time since a difficult evening against Malmo, the Nigerian guarded balls down the side of the defence well and stayed close to Bassey throughout the opening 45. Slightly out of position which led to a great chance for Blair Spittal and suspect in the build-up to the second goal. County targeted the Rangers left when they had the ball and the big defender didn’t have a great second period. 5

Calvin Bassey: Has been a stand out performer in Rangers’ previous two matches and after a shaky start to the season from Borna Barisic, he is the in-form left-back. He played a role in the third goal, although his cross didn’t find a Rangers man – it was played into a dangerous area, leading to Kamara gaining possession. 6

Steven Davis: The ever-present 36-year-old set the pace of the opening 30 from the base of midfield. Was clearly helped by the reintroduction of usual midfield partner Kamara. In the lead up to the third goal, he retained possession of the ball excellently when it looked out. 7

Glen Kamara: Returned to the starting XI to revitalise and re-energise the midfield. Received the ball in dangerous areas and always looked forward and linked play on the left well. Made a composed assist for Morelos’ goal and was able to drive forward more as his team regained momentum in the second half. 7

Joe Aribo: Began the game a little too deep to supplement build-up, but started to cause County problems when he pushed higher. Minutes before the opener – he had a shot on target blocked. His goal was an excellent curled finish into the corner. Looks at his best when joining and linking with the front three – he was influential in the second half playing close to Morelos. 8

Ianis Hagi: Has had a bright start to the season and after a mammoth second-half performance at Ibrox in midweek, put in a composed and intelligent display from the right. Hagi looks a yard sharper than he has at times and was constantly twisting and turning onto both feet. 7

Ryan Kent: Has endured a difficult couple of weeks but always demanded the ball. He made more cutting runs in behind as Morelos dropped deep, which nearly bore fruit on more than one occasion. Was composed on the ball in a breakaway before the third and almost scored late on. Overall, a more Kent-esque performance than in recent weeks. 7

Alfredo Morelos: The midweek match-winner led the line again and was sharp early on. His constant dropping into the midfield to create overloads worked a treat at this ground last season and he once again dragged opposing defenders to create exploitable gaps. Scored a well-placed goal and was energetic for the whole. 7

Substitutes:

John Lundstrum: After a difficult night on Thursday, Gerrard chose to introduce the new signing with 15 minutes or so remaining. He played a part in the build-up to the fourth and clinching goal – will do him good to put Thursday behind him. 5

Scott Arfield: Came on after the game went 3-2. Helped to move the ball forward quickly on occasion and started and ended his goal and Rangers’ fourth goal – an excellent impact from the bench. 7

Kemar Roofe: Introduced as Rangers moved to two upfront and had a couple of moments late on. A brief sighting of him, Morelos and Kent in the front three is a sign of games to come, perhaps. 5
