JAMES TAVERNIER is gearing up for an 'electric' night at Ibrox as Rangers get their Europa League campaign off and running against Lyon.
The champions warmed up for the visit of their Group A rivals with a 2-1 win over St Johnstone on Saturday.
Tavernier scored the winner for Steven Gerrard's side after Kemar Roofe had cancelled out Michael O'Halloran's opener at McDiarmid Park.
Lyon are now next on the agenda for Rangers and the Light Blues skipper knows it will be an occasion to savour as Gerrard's side return to European action.
Tavernier told RangersTV: "It is recovery now and look forward to Thursday. It is at Ibrox, the first Europa League game in the group stages.
"We know the fans are going to be right behind us and it is going to be an electric night.
"The boys will be fired up for this one. We can't wait."
