Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has hailed midfielder John Lundstram after his performance against Lyon in the Europa League on Thursday.
The former Sheffield United man moved to Ibrox in the summer and he has come under criticism for some of his performances.
Some thought Lundstram was poor during the week and Lyon goalkeeper Anthony Lopes claimed his team took advantage of the Englishman.
Hitting back ahead of today's Scottish Premiership match against Motherwell, Gerrard told Rangers TV: “In terms of the midfield area I thought John Lundstram’s performance on Thursday was very strong.
“I watched the game back just to confirm that. The noise from the outside on that is complete nonsense.
“I need the fans to stay with me on that one.”
