Misfiring Rangers stuttered to an 1-1 Ibrox draw with Motherwell as Flag Day became something of a damp squib.
The Govan men were creatively excellent in the first 45 minutes but their opponents come out on top in a fiercely contested second half.
Everything had looked rosy when Fashion Sakala nodded home the opener and Steven Gerrard would have been delighted with the number of chances created up to the break.
The Steelmen came out with a much-improved attitude though and Kaiyne Woolery grabbed a deserved equaliser on the 66th minute after sloppy defending by Jack Simpson and Borna Barisic.
The only consolation for Steven Gerrard will have been seeing rivals Celtic lost to Livingston meaning they are now four points clear of their fiercest competition for the league title.
Our man Joshua Barrie was at Ibrox and you can hear his verdict in the player above.
