IANIS HAGI is confident there is plenty more to come from Rangers this term after a much-needed victory over Brondby at Ibrox.
The champions got off and running in the Europa League thanks to goals from Leon Balogun and Kemar Roofe.
Steven Gerrard's side will now head to Denmark next month aiming to take another step towards a place in the knockout rounds after their first Group A victory.
Rangers have struggled to hit the heights this term on the back of their remarkable invincibles campaign that clinched a 55th league crown last season.
But Hagi is sure Gerrard's side can kick-on domestically and on the continent following this deserved victory over the Danes.
Hagi said: "I always said that what we had last season was unbelievable. To have that many games with that consistency was unbelievable and to bring it into this season was always going to be difficult.
"I don’t think other teams will be able to achieve what we achieved last season for a long time but we know we are at Rangers and we need to be consistent.
"I think we respected the game plan throughout the game, attacked when we had to attack and defend when we had to defend and in the end we got the three points. That is job done.
"As far as I know we are in every competition till now. It’s just too early to compare it with last season.
"Last season ended and this season we are still in the third month so there is a long way to go, a lot of competitions to play. We know the expectations.
"I know for sure this team is hungry to go and win more trophies. We know what we have to do."
