STEVEN GERRARD has conducted his first interview since leaving Rangers for Aston Villa.
The 41-year-old departed Ibrox on Thursday morning for Villa Park as he took over the role from Dean Smith.
The move left thousands of Rangers fans stunned with a cup semi-final and vital Europa League tie on the horizon.
But the lure of the Premier League proved too much for the Liverpool legend, who opted to take his next steps in management after three-and-a-half years in Glasgow.
Now, in the first time since taking over the hotseat at Villa, Gerrard has given his first interview.
In a teaser clip shown on the club's Twitter, he expressed his excitement over the switch.
"The excitement levels are really, really high. I'm very hungry and very ambitious and the start can't come quick enough." 💪
