A FOUR-MAN team has been confirmed to lead Rangers while their search for a new manager goes on.
The club are continuing the process to recruit their replacement for Steven Gerrard.
The 41-year-old left Ibrox on Thursday as he opted to join Aston Villa.
The bombshell news has left Rangers without a first team manager and coaching staff just days before their Premier Sports Cup semi-final against Hibs.
However, as the process to appoint the new manager goes on, the club have announced the interim team to take charge.
And Jermain Defoe is part of the set-up.
A club short statement reads: "David McCallum, Brian Gilmour, Jermain Defoe and Colin Stewart will lead our Men’s First Team whilst the recruitment process for a new Manager continues."
