NATHAN PATTERSON is set to complete a January transfer move from Rangers to Everton with a deal close to being completed.
Everton tried to swoop for the Scotland international in the summer but were unable to get a deal over the line.
But it now looks like Patterson will seal his switch to the Premier League in a big money move.
Everton will pay Rangers around £12million for the services of Patterson with add-ons taking the deal to £16million.
It is also understood that the Merseyside club will pay almost all of the initial fee up-front.
Patterson struggled to cement a starting place after breaking into the Rangers first team under Steven Gerrard with James Tavernier the preferred choice at right-back.
Despite this, the 20-year-old has impressed when called upon at Ibrox both under Gerrard and Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
His performances resulted in a call up to the Scotland national team and he has stood out during qualifiers under Steve Clarke.
