RANGERS will reportedly offer a pre-contract to Danilho Doekhi before the end of January.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst is keen to sign up some cover in defence.
Connor Goldson's future is far from tied up as things stand, and the Englishman is now free to speak to other clubs having entered the last six-months of his deal at Ibrox.
And the Scottish Sun says that Vitesse captain Doekhi is on the radar of van Bronckhorst.
As Herald & Times Sport told you earlier this week, John Souttar is also of interest to Rangers. He will too be offered a pre-contract before the month is out.
And he could well team up with Doekhi at Ibrox in the near future, with the 23-year-old Dutchman said to be keen on a move.
van Bronckhorst is believed to be aware of the centre-half's talents.
Doekhi has himself revealed that move would be "very beautiful".
He said: “A winter transfer is not ideal, but if an opportunity comes up I shouldn’t let it go.
“Of course I get the stories of Napoli and Rangers. I am flattered. Scotland is passion. In Italy you really learn how to defend yourself. Both are very beautiful.”
