RANGERS are hoping to sign Dundee United goalkeeper Benjamin Siegrist on a pre-contract deal, according to reports.
The Swiss shot-stopper moved to Tannadice from Vaduz in 2018 and quickly established himself as both a key player on Tayside and one of the best keepers in the country.
The 29-year-old's deal expires at the end of the campaign and United are expecting Siegrist to move on following a successful three-year stint at the club.
The Daily Mail report that Rangers are planning a Bosman move for Siegrist, who has also been reportedly attracting the attention of clubs south of the border.
Both first-team goalies currently at Ibrox, Allan McGregor and Jon McLaughlin, are out of contract at the end of the season.
Earlier this month, United confirmed the signing of Finnish international goalkeeper Carljohan Eriksson as the club brace themselves for life after Siegrist.
