Everything the Rangers manager told the club's TV channel after the 3-0 defeat to Celtic.
Gio, how do you reflect on tonight’s game?
I’m very disappointed with the loss today and especially the way we lost. The first half was not Old Firm worthy from our side. Second half was much better but we gave the game away in the first half.
What do you say at half-time when you are in that position?
Well, it’s obviously the performance in the first half, we couldn’t see the Old Firm mentality. We know the kind of environment it is here, the reception they will give us and the pressure they will put on us. The players have handled this many times before but today it looked like the first time. That wasn’t the case in the second half. We looked much more determined and more aggressive. The second half was an Old Firm.
How big a difference did Ryan Jack make at half-time?
A big difference. I know what Ryan can bring to the team. I know the circumstances he was in for many months with his injury but I’m glad he was able to play today. 45 minutes was the max because of the injuries he had, but for me he was the best man on the pitch in the second half. And not just because of his performance but for his coaching and his attitude. I think he changed the game for us.

How do you draw a line under this?
It’s always hard to take a loss when you play Celtic away for everyone involved with the club. As a player I played many games here, I lost some of them as well with big differences but eventually that year we became champions. It’s for us now to recover and make sure we go ahead with the challenge we have to become champions.
And Rangers can only get stronger?
Of course. We lost one Old Firm and we won one. That shows how many important games there are in the league. We have to pick ourselves up, stay together and bounce back on Sunday.
