Joe Aribo was speaking to the media after Rangers’ win over Hibs.
Your thoughts on the match?
Yeah, the boys are buzzing. We wanted to start fast, play with intensity and that’s what we did today.
It’s been a good response since the Old Firm?
It’s important to react when you have a defeat. We’re happy with how the last two games have gone like you said keeping clean sheets and scoring lots of goals.
How can you hit the heights from before AFCON?
I want to play every game that I can. I don’t think you can always play well but I can give my best. Hopefully, the performances that you have seen previously come back. I’ll just keep pushing.
How do you explain the Old Firm response?
We just had to take what has gone on during that game, look back at it, look back at the performance and say ‘certain things are not acceptable'. We got into the opponent's faces, made it difficult for them to make it uncomfortable in matches.
If you match the opposition’s energy do you always believe your talent will come through?
That’s always said before a football match in the dressing room. If we give our 100% and work hard the talent will definitely come through that’s part and parcel of football. You have to earn the right to play.
