RANGERS keeper Andy Firth has joined Partick Thistle on loan until the end of the season.
The Jags confirmed the move this morning ahead of their Scottish Cup clash with Dundee United at Firhill this afternoon.
The 25-year-old arrives in Glasgow's west end to provide depth and competition for places among the goalkeeping positions, with Jamie Sneddon clear number one and Mason McCready currently second choice.
Jags boss Ian McCall told the club website: “We’re pleased to welcome Andy to the club and add another quality goalkeeper to our ranks. With Harry Stone leaving last month, we were left with only Jamie and Mason in terms of goalkeepers and Mason is a very young player who is still learning.
“As such, we wanted to bring in another ‘keeper to bolster our options and when a proven professional like Andy became available we thought it was the ideal opportunity for us.”
