Jon McLaughlin: Fresh from signing a new deal with the club, only real shot to hold in the first half was comfortable. Also had to be alive to punch away an inswinger. Faced a few off-target shots in the second half. 6
Mateusz Zukowski: The Polish youngster was quick up and down the right touchline. Without making any real deliveries into the area, given Scott Wright was ahead of him. Times a couple of runs into the final third after the break. A solid debut. 6
James Sands: Has played his minutes at the club in centre-midfield to this point but started beside Helander in defence. Read the game well and kept it simple in possession, with Steven Davis ahead of him to progress the ball. Didn’t look out of place at the back. 6
Filip Helander: Making a long-awaited return to the side, having not played since an injury against St Johnstone last September. Scored the opener having gone close from a corner seconds prior to a near-post header. Trapped a couple of times taking the ball into midfield but overall looked composed and reliable. 7
Borna Barisic: Looked fragile returning to the fold after his Old Firm showing in midweek, van Bronckhorst subsequently spoke of the need to support him as he rediscovered form. Went close with a free-kick that would’ve helped his confidence no doubt, a decent showing overall. 6
Steven Davis: Starting for the first time since playing away in Lyon. Still really quick over the first few yards and his positioning very intelligent as ever when the side build-up from the back. Could be an important player in the final few months of the season. 7
Aaron Ramsey: On his full Rangers debut he got an early assist, finding Fil Helander at the near post from a corner. Clipped balls over the top of the Annan defence threatened a second. Had the ball in the net with a neat finish but saw the goal ruled offside. Still looks a little of the pace but the time played here will help. 6
Amad Diallo: Playing infield, misplaced a couple of passes early on. Linked up well with Ramsey early on and only improved. Playing in central areas he made penetrating passes and beat his markers constantly. The best player on the pitch. 8
Scott Wright: His pace when isolated cause Annan problems. Came infield at points too. Earned an early free-kick with a well-timed burst and at points linked up with well Zukowski. 6
Fashion Sakala: Made some darts behind the defence and looked more comfortable attacking the space than coming infield. His third goal was unquestionably a shot and not a cross, which flew high into the net. A couple of rouge touches in the second half. 7
Kemar Roofe: A superb touch and finish added a second after 20 minutes, showing how ruthless Roofe can be around the penalty box. Could have released possession quicker at points but in general, led the line well. 7
Substitutes
Leon King: Made one really good interception as Annan threatened to break through. 5
Jack Simpson: One ball over the top almost played Wright in perfectly. 4
Alex Lowry: Looked exciting and confident from the bench. 6
Charlie McCann: Made his Rangers debut at the base of midfield. 5
Cedric Itten: Went close from a corner. 4
