ALFREDO MORELOS last night sparked wild speculation over the meaning of his celebration after his first goal against Dortmund.

The striker, 25, shouted into TV cameras after putting Rangers two-goals up with a tap-in over in Germany.

Morelos then grabbed a second after the break as Rangers claimed a 4-2 triumph over the Bundesliga giants.

But questions were raised over what Morelos said when celebrating his first in the Europa League clash.

Some reports had claimed Morelos aimed a foul-mouthed insult down the cameras - with it claimed he shouted words translated to "son of a whore/b****".

However, the reports have been rubbished by Morelos' representative who explained the striker was dedicating the goal to his family and hometown of Cerete in Colombia.

Explaining the meaning of the celebration on Twitter, Michael Gorman wrote: "Just to clarify: Morelos said 'for the people of Cerete [deleted]', passionately dedicating his performance to his family and his pueblo in Colombia"

Gorman released the explanation in response to a post which claimed Morelos was insulting national team boss Reinaldo Rueda - as he categorically denied the suggestion.

However, the agent did question the national team boss after Morelos' stunning showing in Dortmund.

Slamming his selection for the national team previously, Gorman posted: "Remember when the Colombia National team 🇨🇴 manager decided to use strikers from the local league instead of the 3rd leading goalscorer in the history of Europa League… 🤔🤯"
