RANGERS hero Barry Ferguson admits he'd rather be in Celtic's position in the title run-in than his former club's.

Celtic hold a slender lead at the summit of the Premiership, with Ange Postecoglou's side three-points in front of Giovanni van Bronckhorst's men.

Celtic capitalised on Rangers dropping points at Tannadice on Sunday by coming back to beat Dundee 3-2 at Parkhead.

But while Ferguson admits he'd rather Rangers were in the Hoops' current position, the ex-Alloa manager expects plenty of twists and turns between now and the curtain coming down in May.

He told Go Radio's Football Show: "I'll be honest, I'd rather be in Celtic's shoes. I'd rather be three points in front.

"Obviously playing first, they can put a bit of pressure on if they go and get the win and go six points clear.

"Am I getting worried at this stage? No, I don't think there will be much panic.

"I do still believe there will be twists and turns and it will go right down to the wire.

"But I'm just being honest, I'd rather be in Celtic's position, three points in front, no doubt about it.

"They showed a different side to them. 2-2, going into the last 10 minutes it was squeaky bum time, then they get the third goal to cement the three points.

"At this stage I wouldn't be getting too worried about it, but I'd rather be three points in front than three points behind."
