HUGH DALLAS reckons VAR would have intervened and helped to award Rangers a penalty against Dundee United on Sunday.
The Ibrox outfit were denied two spot-kicks at Tannadice by referee Bobby Madden during their 1-1 draw in the city of discovery.
Dallas believes the video technology system would have come into play for Ross Graham's pull on Fashion Sakala in the second-half, but he doesn't think it would have picked up Graham's handball in the first 45 minutes.
Dallas told Go Radio: "There's two incidents there and VAR would have probably got involved in one of them, but not the other."
On the Sakala incident, Dallas explained: "That's easy because VAR would have the images to ask the referee to go an on-field review.
"The referee would obviously go see that and correct his decision to award the penalty.
"On the handball one, it's different because it's not a clear and obvious error, in my opinion, so he wouldn't have got involved in it.
"I didn't think it was a handball. The ball hits his upper arm, but the player had his arm relatively close and he tried to pull it away.
"It was a difficult decision, but definitely one that VAR would not have got involved in.
"They'd have checked it, but they don't want to put the referee in a position where he's coming over and expecting to see something that he's missed badly."
