NEIL MCCANN labelled the two goals conceded by Rangers against Motherwell as "concerning" - and said the dropped points at Ibrox will be "deflating".
Giovanni van Bronckhorst's side were 2-0 up and cruising in the Scottish Premiership clash but failed to see out the match as Motherwell claimed a point after mounting a two-goal comeback.
For McCann, the nature of the goals is a concern but he is also worried the result will have affected morale at Ibrox after the incredible high of the Europa League play-off round victory over Borussia Dortmund.
Giving his thoughts on the result on Rangers TV he said: "That's deflating for Rangers. That's sore because they were so far ahead in the first half. So comfortable.
"I suppose that's always the danger the game wasn't done at half-time. It wasn't the time to be make substitutions."
McCann also reckons the fact the match wasn't sealed by the break meant changes couldn't be made which may have factored into the result.
But he is adamant Rangers should've been able to see out the result regardless of any changes made.
The former Rangers ace also offered his verdict on the offside calls against Alfredo Morelos who saw two strikes chopped off.
He added: "It was only when we thought Rangers might have got a third goal and a right good cushion, they could've freshened it up but they were never allowed to do so.
"I think the goals are concerning. I know there's a couple of contentious decisions for Morelos today. My gut feeling was that both were offside but nonetheless, you shouldn't be throwing away a two goal lead when you are that comfortable no matter what substitutions come on."
