RANGERS starlet Charlie McCann insists he's learning from his Rangers role models every day.

The midfielder - who has featured in the Scottish Cup for Rangers this term - pinpointed Steven Davis and Aaron Ramsey as two main mentors at Ibrox.

There's an abundance of midfield talent for McCann to learn from - and he's had similar experiences in the past having come through the youth set-up at Manchester United.

"It’s an everyday thing," said McCann of his development alongside experienced Ibrox pros. "Every day in training, the senior boys – Davo, Ramsey and stuff like that – they always give feedback and try to help you.

"If they see things where you maybe need a bit of help, they are there and they tell you.

"In the squad, we have a big variety of different types of midfielders and it can only help to be able to pick little aspects to develop my game."

And McCann insists he's getting pointers on his progression to the first-team from the backroom staff to as he detailed the pathway to the first-team.

He said: “You are always getting feedback on what you are doing well and if you need to improve little things to get to the next level.”

McCann made the headlines earlier this week after he decided to switch to represent the Northern Ireland national team instead of the Republic of Ireland.

He had played in the under-17 and under-19 sides for the Republic of Ireland but has switched his allegiance after discussions with the Northern Ireland management team.

He said: “I spoke to the staff at Northern Ireland and another few people and everything I have been told has been really positive.

"They have given me really positive feedback and told me all the things that I want to be hearing. It sounds like it’s going to be a great adventure.”
