RANGERS star Alfredo Morelos has been ruled out for the rest of the season.
The Colombian striker will be a huge loss to the Ibrox club as they compete on the domestic and European front in the season run-in.
Rangers have this evening confirmed that Morelos sustained the injury whilst on international duty with Colombia.
The striker has since undergone surgery to his thigh, as he starts his rehabilitation process.
A club statement reads: "Following an injury sustained whilst on international duty with Colombia, Alfredo Morelos has undergone surgery to his thigh.

"Our medical team are pleased with the outcome of the operation and his rehabilitation programme is underway.
"He will return to training with the First Team squad during pre season. We wish him well during his rehabilitation."
Morelos will now miss Rangers' Europa League quarter-final tie against Braga, as well as the Scottish Cup semi-final versus Celtic next week.
There are of course six league games remaining too, although while not mathematically impossible, the title looks likely to be heading back to Celtic.
Morelos missed Sunday's Old Firm derby against Celtic on Sunday.
He was spotted at Glasgow Airport with crutches, as he travelled to London to see a consultant about his injury.
