RANGERS are among a host of clubs interested in signing Joe Rothwell this summer.
The former Manchester United kid is out-of-contract at Blackburn Rovers this summer.
The 27-year-old played a vital role in helping Tony Mowbray's men in securing their highest Championship finish since 2014 last term.
Steven Gerrard was reportedly keen on Rothwell last summer, but a move never materialised.
Now, according to BBC Sport, Rangers remain interested in the midfielder.
They face stiff competition from a series of English clubs, including Fulham, Norwich and Bournemouth.
The player left Man United in 2016 after gaining first team experience at both Blackpool and Barnsley on loan.
He then joined Oxford United, before Blackburn bought him two years later.
He has spent the last four seasons at Ewood Park, but is now seeking a fresh challenge in his career.
