RANGERS ran out 3-2 winners in a behind closed doors friendly against Queen's Park today with Ben Davies and Zak Lovelace in action.

The Ibrox side featured a blend of first-team and academy talents for the private pre-season fixture.

New signing from Liverpool Davies played the first-half for Rangers with teenage wonderkid Lovelace given around half-an-hour to impress.

Robby McCrorie, Ryan Jack, Stephen Davis James Sands, Davies, Scott Wright Fashion Sakala, Scott Arfield, Leon King and Adam Devine all started.

And Malik Tillman was the final name on the starting line-up for the match after making a substitute appearance in the narrow loss to Tottenham yesterday.

Mateusz Zukowski, Charlie McCann, Nikola Katic and Lovelace all made substitute appearances during the win.

But it was Queen's Park who surged into a lead in the first-half with Scott Williamson slotting past McCrorie.

And Owen Coyle's side would go two ahead in the second-half with Williamson netting again after the break.

The deficit would be halved however, as Jacques Heraghty was beaten with the Spiders scoring an own goal.

Fifteen minutes from time and youngster Lovelace - signed from Millwall - won the Ibrox side a penalty, however Davis' effort from the spot was saved by Heraghty.

Not deterred by the miss, Rangers would go on to level as Lovelace found space in the box to finish.

And Lovelace would score his second - and the winner - not long after as a Zukowski ball found the teenager who smashed home at the front-post
