ALLY MCCOIST believes Rangers missed defender Leon Balogun during their Champions League play-off against PSV.
The former Ibrox centre back was released this summer and is still without a club.
McCoist feels Balogun should have been offered an extension in Govan and he has called on the club to offer a deal if there is still a chance that he will remain in Scotland.
He told BT Sport: “He was sitting up in the stand watching Rangers. I'm not sure I'd have been letting him go.
"Souttar and Helander have had injuries...
"It's not with hindsight. I was surprised to see him go I really was.
“They could have done with him tonight. He has the height, he has a presence.
“He has scored goals in Europe.”
