BORNA BARISIC has backed countryman Antonio Colak to go from strength to strength at Ibrox after firing Rangers into the Champions League.
The Croatian netted the decisive strike in the play-off round tie with PSV Eindhoven as his second half effort secured a memorable 3-2 aggregate victory on Wednesday night.
Colak was also on target in the win over Union Saint-Gilloise and in the first leg draw with Ruud van Nistelrooy's side at Ibrox.
And Barisic was thrilled to see the forward emerge as the hero for Rangers as a place in the group stages was secured in style.
Barisic said: "I am delighted for him. I said that he had started very well here and not only because of his goals.
"I know him personally, I spend time with him, and I know he is very happy to be here.
"He has settled here. He sees himself here in Glasgow and he has scored at the start of the season.
"You can see how much that goal meant to him and he has scored important goals already.
"He has big quality and he will be a very good player for Rangers. Congratulations to him."
