AFTER a goalless return in his first two matches Antonio Colak could’ve succumbed to the pressure of becoming Rangers number nine.
Instead, Colak has thrived at Ibrox with a scintillating run of form scoring seven times in his last seven matches for the club.
It’s been a dream start to life at Ibrox for the Croatia international and the striker is desperate to keep the good times rolling with clashes against Celtic and Ajax on the horizon.
“I’m enjoying it so much,” said Colak of his career beginnings at Ibrox.
“I just try to keep it going by working hard again and again, to ride this wave.
“For me as a striker, it means so much. And of course, to score so many goals in this short period, it couldn’t be better for me as a new player starting out here. I just want to continue like that and keep pushing.
“It’s the best feeling to score here at Ibrox in front of our fans. I enjoy every moment, every goal, every win. I just want to keep it like that.”
Rangers continued their unbeaten start to the Scottish Premiership with a 4-0 rout over Ross County at Ibrox to build on their qualification to the Champions League proper.
It was the perfect remedy to any possible European hangover with Colak netting a brace as John Lundstram and Steven Davis got in on the act.
“We’re really happy we won 4-0 at home,” said Colak. “It was really important, especially after the European night we had,” explained Colak.
“We wanted to solve it as fast as possible and to show our dominance. I think we solved it quite well, created a lot of chances, scored a lot of goals, kept a clean sheet. It couldn’t have been better.”
Asked if it was the club’s best attacking display so far this season, Colak told Rangers TV:
“Yeah, I think so. We created a lot of space for each other, we created a lot of possibilities with everybody being in the box. We had each other’s back even if we lost the ball.
“Offensive wise, we created a lot of chances, scored a lot of goals. We could have had an (even bigger win) but we’re just focus on trying to improve in every match and every training session.”
