A tough day at the office?
Yeah, we know it's not good enough. I take the blame obviously for the goal we lost. It was poor defending from myself and after that they sit in. We have time in the game to rectify it but the first half performance wasn't good enough. Second half we changed things and tried to create chances. The result isn't good enough, especially at home so we are all disappointed in the dressing room.
The manager asked for a reaction after Dundee. Can you explain why he didn't get one?
We have to look at ourselves, first and foremost. We have had an honest chat in the changing room just there. We got a point which is never good enough for our standards and club. We have to apologise to the fans who came today. We have to rectify it as a team. It's only us who can change things. The boss sets us out and we have to deliver and we haven't done that for him or the fans today.
How disappointing was the booing from the fans?
You never want to hear it but our performance wasn't good enough so they have every right to boo us. We have to have a reation. It's a tough game on Tuesday but we have to show real fight and attitude in how we play.
How are you physically at the moment and how do you assess your performances?
I'm fine. For the first goal I could have done a lot better but I always try my hardest on the pitch to help the team.
You put in 73 crosses in today. Is that the main tactic or did you revert to it too quickly?
When you go 1-0 down they make it very compact and the areas tight in the middle of the pitch. The space is out wide and we have good wingers to get at full-backs. We tried to use that and but we couldn't get anyone on the end of them. There were a few chances, Lunny's towards the end but we have to be more clinical.
What's the issue this season?
Well, we have drawn twice and lost a game. That's what's happened in the league if you don't include Europe. The draw at Hibs we went down to nine men. We know we were unacceptable for the Celtic game and today where we drop a point. Last week wasn't our best performance but we got the three points. If you can win ugly. We did that plenty of times in the season we won the league. It wasn't good enough today and we don't want this to continue.
Do you accept the criticism from the support?
I'm obviously captain and I have to take the full brunt of it. That's why I'm in the position that I am. We all, including myself, deserve criticism in the games that we haven't performed. We're a changing room that has high demands and we need to demand more going forward because we obviously don't want any of these performances coming back.
That’s Celtic four points clear, how confident are you that you can up the performance levels and claw that back?
We have just got to concentrate on ourselves and go game by game in the league, and get the three points every single game. We can’t focus on them, we just have to focus on our performances and move on from that.
