FORMER Rangers coach Michael Beale has clarified comments he made about there being "no chance" he'd take the Aston Villa job.
After a tremendous start to life as QPR manager this season, Beale has attracted the attentions of some of the big boys down south.
Just last week Wolves sought permission to speak to him over becoming their new gaffer.
However, after some consideration time, Beale opted to stay put at Loftus Road.
Beale left Aston Villa during the summer, having served as Steven Gerrard's No.2 at Villa Park and previously at Rangers.
Of course, Gerrard lost his job at Villa on Thursday evening after a 3-0 thumping at the hands of Fulham.
This sparked questions over whether Beale could sensationally be the man to take over the reins.
Speaking on talkSPORT though, Beale said no way when asked if he would be interested in the Villa gig.
He commented: "No chance. Great club, great history, great people, good people behind the scenes.
"They’ve had two outstanding managers in the last two years and for whatever reason it hasn’t worked out so they may have to look at the way the club is run or the model. Is the recruitment all in line?
"There’s a lot of good people behind the scenes that have got a lot of despair at the moment.
"I feel for the fans because it’s a wonderful football club, but no, I gave my commitment here the other day. There’s certainly no interest on my part.
"A few of my friends have lost their jobs in the last few days and obviously my loyalty is to that friendship."
His comments sparked a stir. Now, Beale has taken to social media to clarify his thoughts.
Beale posted on Twitter: "To clarify AVFC is a wonderful club, I enjoyed my time there and wish them every success in the future.
"The players/staff were a pleasure to work with.
"The 'no chance' comment was in reference to my commitment to QPR and was in no way being disrespectful to anyone at Villa Park."
